Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inerrant and inspired Word of God and that it is to be used “for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe the Bible instructs us to go and make disciples of all nations and to preach the Gospel to the world. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8).

We believe there is only one God and that He is the creator and sustainer of the universe (Genesis 1, Colossians 1:17).
We believe in Tri-Theism – that there is one God, eternally revealed in three, distinct persons: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:13, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19).
We believe that God is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness and faithfulness (Galatians 5:22).

We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin and is God in the flesh (Luke 1:26-38, John 1:1, 14).
We believe that Jesus Christ was tempted in every way yet did not sin. In this, he became the perfect sacrifice for our sins by dying on a cross and paying our penalty. (Hebrews 4:14-16, Colossians 2:13-14).
We believe in Jesus’ bodily resurrection three days following his crucifixion, that he ascended to Heaven after appearing to over 500 witnesses and is coming back again to rapture His followers (Luke 24:1-7, Acts 1:9-11, John 14:2-3, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8).

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts man of sin and that Christians receive the Holy Spirit as their seal, upon salvation. (John 16:7-8, Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30).
We believe the Holy Spirit is our advocate and comforter and is continuously interceding on our behalf to the Father (John 14:26, Romans 8:26).
We believe that God’s followers will receive power from the Holy Spirit and will be equipped to take the Gospel around the world (Acts 1:8).

We believe the Bible describes Satan as an “angel of light” who fell from Heaven due to his pride and rebellion. (2 Corinthians 11:14, Ezekiel 28)
We believe that Satan is an enemy of all God does and roams the earth, seeking to steal and devour God’s children (John 10:10, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8)
We believe Satan was defeated by Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection and will be sentenced to eternal punishment in Hell. (Revelation 1:18, Revelation 20:10).

We believe that man and woman were created in God’s image and are of equal stature. (Genesis 1:26-27, Galatians 3:28).
We believe that man brought sin and death into the world of his own free will, by disobeying the commandments God had given him. (Romans 5:12).
We believe we are born with a sin nature and are therefore in need of God’s grace to save us from our sins. (Romans 5:6 & 8, Ephesians 2:1).

We believe salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ with the confession of our mouths that Jesus is Lord and the belief in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10:9-10, 13).
We believe that salvation cannot be earned and is a free gift to anyone with a repentant heart (Acts 3:19, Ephesians 2:9).
We believe the blood of Jesus eternally cleanses a believer of all their sin, and salvation cannot be lost or taken away. (Ephesians 1:13-14 & 4:30, 1 Peter 1:3-5).
